As an Atlassian Solution Partner, we have repeatedly been able to offer solutions using the wide range of marketplace apps in the past. As a result of the strategic decision to stop offering server installations, some of the customers are now faced with the difficulty that not all apps are (yet) available in the cloud.
We've researched the future plans of our favorite apps and would like to share the information with you in a blog series.
Here are our first favorite apps:
With the Blueprint Creator, blueprints for blog posts, pages, and areas can be created in no time at all in Confluence. Predefined content and forms are therefore not only possible with Atlassian's own templates.
This is what the manufacturer says:
Our partner Seibert Media has assured that you have already started development. So we'll soon be able to let off steam in the cloud creating blueprints.
That is the alternative:
If someone can't wait and needs an immediate solution, the Space Tree Creator (blueprint, template) try it out.
With Better Content Archiving, data cemeteries can be easily avoided by maintaining the life cycle of pages and areas in Confluence. The validity periods and responsible persons can be stored for each area or division category. As soon as a page is out of date, it is marked as such and users are warned of potentially invalid information. Pages are automatically or manually moved to an archive without having to archive the entire area.
Here are the alternatives:
In Confluence Cloud, the Page archiving already included in the basic functions. However, multiple archiving is only available for premium subscriptions.
Automatic Archiving for Confluence Cloud is a somewhat limited version of Better Content Archiving. This allows the area administrator to set the period of validity of the pages and the time of archiving. Reminders to those responsible and a simple extension of validity are not included.
Update This+ for Confluence On the other hand, reminds users to update outdated content. The reminders are configured by areas and labels.
The apps listed above are already available today as data center versions.
