As an Atlassian Solution Partner, we have repeatedly been able to offer solutions using the wide range of marketplace apps in the past. As a result of the strategic decision to stop offering server installations, some of the customers are now faced with the difficulty that not all apps are (yet) available in the cloud.
We've researched the future plans of our favorite apps and would like to share the information with you in a blog series.
Here are our first favorite apps:
With Linchpin, Confluence can be transformed into a cutting-edge intranet. Features such as profiles with user-defined fields, the microblog or individual navigation appealed to us! At this point, we're definitely happy that the apps are still available on Data Center! Unfortunately, the setup in the cloud is not possible 1:1.
Information from the manufacturer
Die Linchpin Cloud is currently in a beta phase and will be a standalone solution (e.g. with news, profiles, etc.), which also offers integrations with Atlassian Cloud and Google. So if you don't want to miss the Linchpin features, you are welcome to request a demo from us!
Here are the alternatives:
If you want an integrated solution, you can use Refined for Confluence Cloud, which is just as much in our top app series, giving Confluence a modern look and feel. The app makes it possible to completely adapt the look to your own needs and provides a range of features that increase usability. Refined also has an app called Refined Toolkit for Confluence Cloud. This app includes a range of tools and macros that help transform Confluence areas and pages into attractive, branded pages. By the way Refined is also available for Jira!
This app offers a selection of 30 different validators, conditions and post functions with which every workflow can gain functionality. In addition, it allows you to define default field values for creating processes. The clear installation of the features makes the app ideal for Jira beginners.
Information from the manufacturer
According to the manufacturer, there are currently two points against developing the app on the cloud:
Here are the alternatives:
The statement from the manufacturer underlines that the features are therefore largely covered without additional apps in Jira Cloud. Also the integration of Jira Automation App in provides a large set of tools that cover some of the features.
The apps listed above are already available today as data center versions.
